About

Anyone who has ever visited Luisa Frühling in her fairytale world knows that she lives in a castle. A castle of color and shapes. Luisa’s painting obeys the laws of hedonism. She paints what she wants and how she wants it. In doing so, she elevates her own pleasure to the highest principle – her compass is her desire. She is not swayed by the supposed conventions of beauty in contemporary art. Luisa loves opulence and abundance and captures great emotions on even greater canvases with her brush. And sometimes even on human bodies. And although she uses kitschy motifs, her paintings are by no means tasteless romantic comedies.
